Hi, I’m Ciara.
I’ve been working with faces for more than 15 years, and if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that great beauty work should still look and feel like you.
My career started in makeup, where I went from working behind the MAC counter to becoming a professional artist with a résumé that includes celebrity clients, television networks and some pretty unforgettable faces. Eventually, my obsession with skin, symmetry and the tiny details that make someone uniquely beautiful led me to permanent makeup.
And I went all in.
I became a certified Medical Micropigmentologist, continued my education with advanced artists across the U.S. and Canada, built Illume, and eventually created a 300 hour training program because I wanted artists in Oklahoma to have access to the kind of education I wished existed when I started.
These days, I’m just as fascinated by why something works as I am by making it beautiful. After years of working across different skin tones, textures and ethnicities, I’ve become especially passionate about understanding how skin responds to pigment, trauma and healing, and teaching artists to look beyond a one size fits all approach.
That curiosity has shaped the artist I’ve become and, even more, the educator I am today.
I’ve never wanted to simply follow the permanent makeup industry.
I want to help move it forward.
So whether you’re sitting in my chair or learning in my classroom, expect me to care about the details, ask a million questions, probably teach you something you weren’t expecting to learn and always honor what makes you uniquely you.
After all these years, I’m still obsessed with this work.
