We believe your brows should be perfect, for forever.

Illume is now your destination for beautifully microbladed and permanent eyebrows within the Oklahoma City metro. We’ve went through extensive training in Los Angeles and Oklahoma to specialize in creating custom, natural looking eyebrows to fit your lifestyle. Our eyebrow transformations takes approximately 2 hours and can last up to 2 years! Imagine waking up every morning to perfect, smudge free eyebrows. That's the beauty of microblading!

Microblading and permanent brow shading has become one of the hottest beauty trends this year. We have partnered with Dr. George Dawson, M.D. to offer Microblading and other permanent makeup services within a medical facility, located 10 minutes east of our downtown studio.

Why should you consider permanent eyebrows?

If you're tired of drawing or filling in your eyebrows, it's time to consider permanent makeup. Unlike the blunt, Sharpie eyebrow tattoos of yesteryear, our newer techniques is the perfect solution to long lasting, beautifully natural brows.

WHAT IS MICROBLADING

WHAT IS MICROBLADING

What is Microblading?

Microblading eyebrows is a form of permanent makeup that creates natural, beautiful eyebrows with a handheld microblade. It’s perfect for people who have overplucked or those who want to define, darken or reshape their eyebrows.

Technically, microblading is a form of eyebrow tattooing. However, unlike traditional tattooing, which uses a machine, microblading artists apply each hairstroke with a handheld microblade. This produces a very fine line that resembles real hair. Each individual hairstroke is hand drawn by the artist and blended in with the client’s existing eyebrow hair. With a strong artist at the helm, the results can be gorgeous and very lifelike.

Microblading typically takes two appointments to complete. In the first appointment, the client is profiled and the eyebrows are drawn on with a waterproof pencil, so the artist and client can agree on the look. The artist then microblades the eyebrows and the client is ready to go back into the world. There is some mild scabbing and aftercare required, but your microblading should be completely healed in 30 days.

The second appointment is a touch up at least 30 days after the first session. This allows enough time for the ink in the epidermis to naturally slough off, and the color to settle into your skin. In the touch up appointment, the artist can see how your skin has received the ink and make any necessary corrections.

We offer permanent makeup too.

In addition to microblading, Ciara Amir is licensed in Medical Micropigmentation which allows her to offer permanent eyeliner and lipstick procedures under the medical supervision of Dr. George Dawson.

POST PROCEDURE

POST PROCEDURE

Better brows are on the way, with your help...

  • Keep the the brow area clean by using a  fragrance-free gel cleanser (such as Cetaphil) and water.  Hands must be freshly clean.
  • Avoid use of abrasive washcloths or sponges.
  • Allow eyebrows to completely dry before applying ointment (pat dry with paper towel or air dry).
  • Once fully dry, apply a thin layer of Aquaphor (rice size amount on each brow).
  • Repeat above steps 2-3 times per day for 7-10 days after service.
  • DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and pigment loss!
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure.  Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyper pigmentation and scarring.
  • Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths for 10 days.
  • Avoid sweating on your face for 10 days. Sweating through or on the brows will expel pigment from the dermis producing poor results.
  • Avoid sleeping on your face/brows for the first 10 days.
  • Keep your bangs and hair pulled back from your face for the first 10 days.
  • NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area for 10 days.
  • After 10 days, once the area has healed completely, consider using sunblock when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading.
  • Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for 2 weeks after your procedure.
  • Avoid Retin-A, Chemical Peels, Laser Treatments, Microdermabrasions, and/or anything to treat hyperpigmentation around the brow area once healed to prevent fading of your brow tattoo.
  • Please note: Eyebrows will appear darker, bolder, and sharper due to natural scabbing and healing for the first week. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures.
